The Dalby Eisteddfod is now in it’s 52nd year! We would love to see you again at this year’s events. All entries are done through Comps-Online. The first eisteddfod sessions for the year are generally held in early June each year.
Piano will be held over two days and consists of solo, duet, trio and accompaniment sections. There is the opportunity to enter age category championships and there are also adult and beginner classes. These classes will be held in the Senior Citizens Hall.
Vocal and Choral will be held over four days and ranges from solo work to school choirs and concert items. There are championship classes for both solo competitors, schools and small schools. This year competitors will perform at the Senior Citizens Hall, Kavney Hall at Dalby State School, and at the Multi-Purpose Centre at Our Lady of the Southern Cross College.
Speech and Drama is held over three days and has plenty of opportunity for both individual items, small groups and school classes. Championship sections are available to enter for individuals. Competitors will perform at the Dalby Players Little Theatre and at the Dalby Christian School.
Instrumental is held over five full days, and has sections for school bands, small school bands, and community bands. There are classes for all orchestral instruments plus guitar and recorder. There are classes for individuals, duets and small groups. This year, all classes will be performed at the Dalby State High School Great Hall.
